New Training Programs

We have been working on this a long time and are very excited to offer support for some follow up training in addition to the virtual and monthly alumni group training we currently offer. There are two new programs that we are offering; day training and monthly owner subscriptions. These are different programs for different situations but the idea is to be as diverse as possible and support you and your dog regardless of your life stage or availability.
Graduating from our program is just the beginning. These ongoing options are built for ILK9 alumni families who want continued support as life, routines, and environments change. Choose a day training option, a monthly one on one subscription, or both.
Day Training
Your dog spends the day with one of our trainers, working on the goals that matter most to your family, then comes home with a video update and a clear plan for what to do next.
How a Day Training Day Works
- Drop off between 7:30 and 8:30 in the morning at your trainer's home.
- Pick up between 3:30 and 4:30 in the afternoon, also at your trainer's home.
- Your dog receives roughly eight hours of training and structured time with the trainer.
- Within 24 hours of pickup, you receive a 15 to 30 minute video update from your trainer. The video walks through the day and lays out a training protocol for what to practice until your next session.
- Because the training recap is delivered by video, pickup usually takes only 5 to 10 minutes.
Trainer Assignment
We assign your trainer based on geographic location, or on your preference if you have one. If you choose a trainer on the other side of town, you will be the one making that trip.
What We Work On
Day Training focuses on training and behavior issues in and around the home and neighborhood. Examples include:
- Leash walking
- Socialization
- Desensitizing to everyday handling such as nail trimming
- Impulse control with visitors
- Play development
- Everyday manners and the basics you need around a home and neighborhood
Day Training Premium
Premium includes everything in Day Training, plus a public outing during the day. We take your dog wherever your family needs the most help, so the training happens in the real environments where challenges show up.
- Find other dogs at a dog park to work on reactivity or greetings
- Visit busy public spots like the Pearl to build focus around crowds and distractions
- Off leash trail walking work for families who want a reliable dog outdoors
Tell us where your dog struggles, or where you want to see more proficiency, and your trainer will build the outing around it.
Owner Training Session Add On
Want hands on coaching for yourself? Add a one hour owner training session at the end of your training day for an extra $50 per month. This add on works with either Day Training or Day Training Premium, and it is limited to one owner session per month, no matter how many training days you book. Owner sessions take place at your trainer's home.
Day Training Pricing
Book up to four training days per month. Most families space them out about once a week for sustainability. The more days you commit to each month, the lower your price per day.

Add the Owner Training Session for $50 per month to any option above. Booking 4 days per month requires a minimum commitment of 2 months.
Monthly One on One Subscription
A steady, once a month session with your trainer to keep your dog on track and keep you confident as the handler.
- One session per month, one hour long.
- Held anywhere in Bexar County: your home, your neighborhood, or a public place, wherever you are having issues. We come to you.
- You are involved in every session, so you learn alongside your dog.
- You receive a written training plan to follow for the rest of the month.
Weekday sessions are discounted. Weekend sessions are available at a premium, since weekends are in high demand. The longer you commit, the lower your monthly price. We ask for a minimum commitment of 3 months, with additional savings at 6 months and 12 months.

Billing, Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy
Billing and Renewal
- Day Training packages and subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically at the same schedule until cancelled.
No Rollover
- Sessions not used within a billing month do not carry over to the next month. Each month is planned around that month's trainer availability.
Rescheduling
- A session can be moved to another date within the same billing month with at least 24 hours notice.
- Each session can be rescheduled once. This keeps trainer schedules reliable for every family in the program.
Cancellation
- To cancel, give notice at least 7 days before your next renewal date to stop the upcoming charge.
- Once a billing cycle has been charged, that cycle is not refundable. Your trainer's time for that month is already reserved for your family.
Minimum Commitments
- Booking 4 training days per month requires a minimum commitment of 2 months.
- The Monthly One on One Subscription requires a minimum commitment of 3 months.
- Because spots are limited, these minimums help us reserve space for families who are ready for consistent, ongoing support.
